5 healthy habit hacks

This week is Women's Health Week! So, we thought it was time to talk about healthy habit hacks! Check out our top 5!

1. Carry your water bottle with you everywhere you go.

Are you struggling to get your 2L of water in a day? Get yourself a drink bottle and carry it with you everywhere you go. If you can, get yourself a 2L drink bottle so you know that once you've had it all you've hit your daily target!

2. Start your day off with exercise - and make it easy!

Starting your day off with exercise is a great way to improve your physical and mental health. Pick what type of exercise you want to do (it could be anything from running, to yoga, to walking) and then make sure you've got your clothes ready to go the night before. If you can leave your clothes right next to your bed, then you'll be much more likely to follow through with your exercise plans when you get up cause it will be EASY! Even better, find yourself an exercise buddy that will keep you accountable!

3. Make sleep a priority - and get your phone to help you out!

Depending on your age, you should be aiming for anywhere from 7-10 hours of sleep every night. This sounds great in theory, but it can be really hard to actually achieve. So, to make it easier, set a bed time reminder alarm on your phone which reminds you to get to bed. 

If you have an iPhone, there's a great app that will help you with this called Bedtime. Using Bedtime, you can set up your bed time and your wakeup time, and your phone will stop all notifications between those two times (and remind you to go to sleep as well). 4. Put your sunscreen next to your toothbrush to remind you to put it on every morning.

It's really important that you're putting on sunscreen every day to protect your beautiful skin. To make this a habit, put your favourite sunscreen next to your toothbrush so you don't forget about it in the morning. Even better, if you can get yourself a sunscreen that you really love then you'll be more likely to use it!

5. Have healthy snacks available always!

Eating snacks throughout the day can be a great way to help you feel fuller for longer and can be a great way to get the essential nutrients that you need to maintain a healthy body. Make sure you always have a good supply of healthy snacks available to you to ensure you are making the most of snack time. Some great options are fruit, vegetables, nuts, and boiled eggs.

My healthy habit is in my diet I tend to allow myself to have the things I do love and crave ( chocolate, gelato etc). Everything in moderation! Instead of being harsh on myself and taking away the things I tend to like I rather include them in my diet so not only don’t I feel guilty for eating them, it’s all about portion control - Ebony R.
My healthy habit would definitely be putting aside at least 30 minutes for self care a day! For me personally I use this time to do my skincare routine to ensure I have glowing healthy skin for the next day! - Jess H.
I love to always have water on me, hand lotion and hand sanitizer! - Robin D.
