How to feel happier in 5 minutes (OR LESS!)

Who doesn't love feeling happy?

Sometimes though, life is tough and although we might want to, it can be really hard to snap ourselves out of a rut!

If you're after a quick positivity boost in your day, why don't you try one of these 5 ways to feel happier in less than 5 minutes!

1. Blast your favourite song

I don't know about you but if I'm after an instant boost the first thing I do is blast a playlist of my favourite songs. Before I know it I can't help it but dance around the house which definitely makes me feel on top of the world!


2. Get dressed up in an outfit that makes you feel like a boss

Everyone has an outfit in their wardrobe that makes them feel like a total boss every time they wear it. If you need a boost, dig that outfit out of your wardrobe and put it on - even if you only wear it for a few minutes! Bonus, why don't you do a mini photoshoot in your boss outfit as well?

3. Tick something off your to-do list

There's nothing more satisfying than ticking things off a to-do list. Pick a task that is only going to take a couple of minutes to do and complete it. The sense of accomplishment is sure to make you feel like an absolute legend.

4. Find a doggo and hug a doggo

I don't think there's a person on this planet who doesn't feel just a little bit happier when they cuddle a dog. Take a moment to spend some time with your dog (or go to a dog park if you don't have one yourself) and feel the total love that dogs can give. Happiness boost will be instant.

5. Take a moment to think of things you're grateful for

If you don't have much time and are out and about, a great way to boost happiness is by reminding yourself of the things in your life that you're grateful for. No matter what's going on, there's always something to be grateful for so try and list 3 and see if you don't feel even just a little bit happier!
